Introduction to our Travelogue

Introduction to our Travelogue

Europe used to be that faraway place we only saw on television or read in books and travel brochures. Visiting any part of it used to be too grand an ambition for us that we thought of it as something that is attainable only by extraordinary means. It was soon relegated to an item in our very long "wish" list.

However, the good and generous Lord had other plans for us. He sent two earthly angels, in the person of Junnie and Mitzi, who would soon include Europe as an agenda for us in June 2003.

Without any complicated plans, we went through the rigors of processing the travel documents. A few minor hitches here and there. But in no time, we were bound for the trip of a lifetime.

In the next entries, you will be witnesses to our adventures. I suggest that you click first the links on your left screen which says 6/6 - Paris, Fr (our day 1) and so on...Oh, and you are free to leave any comments too.

Bon jour!

Marvelous! Congratulations on a wonderfully successful European tour. You are so blessed. I am truly very happy for you. I hope you would do it again and stay longer in the one place you really want to explore. Which city did you like best?

Love,
Ninong Rhante

We are still "high" on the effects of all the sightseeing! Thus, it's difficult to choose one particular city. Each has its own charm and appeal. Switzerland is best for nature-tripping, Rome for its ancient ruins from an old civilization, Florence for the renaissance art, Venice for the Grand Canal and the unique Venetian lifestyle, and Paris for the masterpieces of the impressionists and other great landmarks.

*Sigh* I wish we could go back there. However, before that happens, Jerry and I plan to invade the USA too!

Thanks for those lovely pictures. I can just imagine the grand time you guys had in you euro trip. Glad to see tio Eddie and tia Zita's pics still full of energies and high in spirit. Could have a chance meeting with you in Paris coz my family was planning to travel until my wife opted to join the sgv/andersen reunion in SanFo around that time. If you guys happen to be around the big apple area please don't forget to pay as a visit, my kids are always excited to see titas and titos from the old country. We been living for more than a decade now in rural NJ town 45 minutes away from Manhattan. Tell aunt Zita that thrice I met Del Sering in my office and she always asked me how are they now.
