June 8 Sunday mass was at a small Catholic chapel in Lausanne. It felt close to home seeing some friends from yesterday's lunch get-together in that solemn ceremony. It looked like a small Catholic community where everyone knew one another.

The weather early on was nippy then was comfortably cool after the mass, though it was all bright and sunny. There really was no need even for a light knit cardigan.

Next stop was Ouchy, a lakeside terrace on which to stroll, chill out, and enjoy the mountain views and fresh breezes. From internet sources, "Ouchy is a separate commune from Lausanne, having survived for years as a fishing port, but these days, although some fishing continues, it's become one of the more chic of the Swiss lakeside resorts, with waterfront cafes abounding."

It is also here in Ouchy that you will find the Beau-Rivage Palace and the Musee Olympique where we took some of our more colorful and artistic shots.
