After 7 years, Jerry and I decided to make a go for another baby. Our 2 sons Matthew and Kyle were already 10 and 7 respectively. As God would have it, we were blessed with our 3rd boy soon enough. In fact, too soon that the baby was born 5 weeks short or 35 weeks into the pregnancy. The reason for the early delivery was a condition where my amniotic fluid was found inadequate and the obstetricians were saying that the baby's chances for survival were better outside of my womb. On March 11, 2004, the baby was delivered via Caesarean section.

We were praying for the best but feared the worst. At birth, the baby was so tiny and weighed only 2 lbs. and 11 oz. However, miracle of miracles, the doctors said he was already 37 weeks or full-term. He was alert and fed regularly. Dr. Serafica said they now call him "Grower". At the time of his discharge, he already weighed about 3 lbs.

The pictures of the baby in the NICU were taken using a camphone (N7650)....
