I hope all Catholics out there fasted and abstained from meat. It was Ash Wednesday yesterday, the beginning of Lent. According to Monsignor Dakay, fasting or abstaining from meat is about self-control. It is knowing when to say no. Food is a basic need and when we are not able to say no to the temptation to indulge in our favorite meals, then it means it is even harder for us to say no to our negative attitude and behavior.
