Despedida for Marcel and Gret



Had dinner at the Climaco's residence in Ma. Luisa last night with good friends. It was some sort of a send-off party put together by Manny and Monica for Marcel and Gret whose family is off to Missouri after the Jaycee ASPAC this May. Dinner was really sumptuous and I gave in to the temptation of breaking my resolve to start a healthy diet (uh-oh!!!). I tried convincing myself that it was just a small thin slice of lechon skin, a little paella, a piece of chicken wrapped in bacon, a spoonful of lasagna, a roll of ngohiong (yummy!) a little portion of homemade apple pie (the best!) and a glass of red wine, but who was I fooling???? Anyway...



For most of the night, the husbands were all together while the wives were in a separate part of the living room gushing about kids, school, business, and some gossip (oops...hehe). The pleasant exchange of stories had us so engrossed that we were surprised it was already past midnight. A little before 2am, we were on our way home.
