12.31.02 What's Up in the New Year

Stayed up the longest time last night thinking about what's in store for the coming new year... I guess life's like that, when you don't know what's up ahead everything is a blur! It seems like everything is just too huge to overcome! Blessing No. 1, got a book from Linnor last Christmas - With GOD All Things are Possible! - and this is what I learned, You do not know how the watchmaker will fix your watch, how the mechanic will fix your car, how the doctor will heal your body. Yet you have faith in their power to do their work. Have you just as much faith in God to let Him work in ways you know not of? Blessing No. 2, God gave me a heart that feels, a mind that gives ideas, and a body that gets things done! And from the same book, It is the law that you should start with what you have and God will do the rest. Blessing No. 3, I now recognize that all my blessings come from God! Count your blessings and they will be magnified and multiplied. Come to think of it, there is so much to look forward to in the coming year, there is hope in this coming new year. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

12.30.02 Meeting Paul

Getting back to Cebu last Sunday, I thought, meant I would just be counting the days to 2003 with nary anything special. In the morning of yesterday though, I received a text from Paul Meim, a long-time friend from highschool, who was in town for a short visit. It was a pleasant sort of a reunion as we spent lunch at Cafe Ad with Jerry, Matt and Kyle (food was great...lechon buffet for only P149! yum!). We talked about old stuff and how we were back in the 80's (hehe) and it was fun remembering these past events. However, the biggest news we talked about is not about the past but about the future (of Paul, that is!). Not to preempt anything, but if any of our friends gets to read this post, just ask Paul, the guy who is always hyper. Next year is something to really be hyper about. But then again, I'll just keep that a secret.
