CHRISTMAS VACATION !
This is just a short list of what we have been up to since we got to Manila:
Dec 18 - Arrived at 7pm alone to attend our Finance Meeting and company Christmas Party on the 19th
Dec 19 - Pa and Ma brought me to the office along EDSA after dropping by the Manila Doctors' Hospital for Mama's test results. Had a short AM meeting with my counterparts in the different groups... Irene, Del, Leo, Chito, Ahlelie, Mel, Lito and Grace...Had a hearty lunch at Something Fishy, Eastwood. Attended the Christmas Party to wait out Jerry, Matt and Kyle's arrival.
Dec 20 - Jerry, the kids, Pa, Ma and May and I were jampacked inside Papa's car to have lunch at Kenny Rogers at UN. Spent a couple of hours at Museo Pambata where we had a fun and educational tour... Will try to post some pictures soon. Then met up with Junnie at Fort Santiago for another tour and more photo ops. The kids really had fun clowning around while learning about Jose Rizal. In fact, we all did. Took our late snacks at Harbor View where we tried to pose for more pictures using the beautiful sunset at the bay as our backdrop.
Dec 21 - Spent the entire day at the Enchanted Kingdom. Tried the Rialto, Dodgem, roller coaster, balloon ride, carousel, Anchors Away and Log Jam... May and Mitzi were the braver souls who tried the Space Shuttle.
Dec 22 - Happy 36th Anniversary Pa and Ma! We all met up at Greenbelt 3 then ate a hearty buffet at Mingoys where Junnie and I split the tab. The food was great...and the price too. :D Then Junnie went to meet up with some friends while the rest of us went on to the Eastwood Night Market at Libis. Surprisingly, Jerry and I didn't fall prey to last minute panic buying!
Dec 23 - Jerry and I went to SM for last minute panic buying harharhar! well at least, unlike the tiangge, SM accepts credit cards!. Then heavy snack cum light dinner at our cousin Ateng's new house followed.
Dec 24 - Lunch at Junnie and Mitzi's. Then...real last minute panic buying! Unbelievable!... Mass at the subdivision at 8pm...Followed by games and potluck dinner. It was great seeing all our neighbors with their kids and grandkids in tow. Since everybody seemed game and cooperative, this year's Christmas Eve homeowners' party was a huge success. Of course, the kids stayed up late for the much-awaited exchange of gifts. Oh the looks on everyone's faces as we opened all the gifts! :D
Dec 25 - MERRY CHRISTMAS! Woke up late...Went house-hunting for Papa and Mama...Then had bibingka, palitaw, pancit luglug and halo-halo (native yummies) at Via Mare Alabang Town Center...
Today - Left the kids with the grannies so Jerry and I could do some business. We went to Tutuban and the Center Mall to buy stocks for reselling when we get back home... And as I am blogging this, Jerry and the kids are busy playing Monopoly... Oops, they just decided to get some fries...Will be back to blog again asap.
