Sunday, Feb. 11 was the sportsfest. Matt and Kyle participated in the running events. It was Kyle's first time to join and though he did not win the race, Jerry and I were impressed at his speed as compared against the other runners in Grade 4 and 5. He never even stayed in school for track practice. We know there is always potential especially since Kyle is showing some interest in the sport. A little encouragement could go a long way. ;)
As for Matt, he managed to win 2 gold medals for the 100-m dash and the 4x100-m relay, which are his most favored events anyway. He hasn't been practicing for a long time and has since gained weight. So imagine our surprise when he has not lost his speed and agility. Matt is really the competitive type and will excel if he will just set his heart on something.
Here are a few shots taken at the Cebu City Sports Complex...

the boys and the proud parents...
Be it academic or athletics (track & filed and basketball), Matt always excels. Congrats. Keep up the excellent records and well-balanced activities!
ReplyDeleteSee you soon in bigger venues-- National & Asian competitions and in the Olympics, Kiddo!
To Kyle, keep on trying. Constant practice makes perfect but take note of your blood pressure.
Even in photos, Kyle is always in the middle---no wonder he has that "middle child syndrome" behavior! :-) :-) :-)
HI PAPARAZZI!
ReplyDeleteMatt is a determined young man... but he's sometimes distracted. Oftentimes, he wins when pitted against anybody (in sports or academics) as long as he focuses his efforts in achieving his goals. :D
Kyle is a serious hard-worker who wants to be like his A-hia Matt. Even without trying really hard, he can deliver good results. ;)
For symmetry in pictures, we position ourselves around Kyle, kaya "middle-child" sya. Hehehe...
Gold na naman??? You can rival Lhuillier's Jewelry with the gold medal collection of Matthew and Kyle... I wonder where Jake will be in the scheme of things?
ReplyDeleteKyle will even be better, I bet. Iba ang middle child eh
HI JUNNIE!
ReplyDeleteMatthew kasi won't settle for silver or bronze eh, kaya gold na naman... Hahaha.:P
Kyle is being mentored by his A-hia Matt, especially during last Sunday when Kyle was asking Matt about how to position himself properly prior to the start of the race.
Sana ganun lang palagi... tulungan lang, walang inggitan... even when they're grown-ups na.
Wow, galing ah!
ReplyDeleteHI RUTH!
ReplyDeleteButi di sa akin nagmana... hehehe...
