Matthew in Xiamen

My Boys in Black

By now, 2nd year High School student (going 3rd year in June) Matthew has already seen SM Xiamen. Good for him. Hehe... He's in China with his classmates from the Jesuit school for immersion. Hmmm... whatever their trip is called, all I know is it must be FUN! I'm counting the days now. 45 days is a pretty long time to be away from home especially for my son who's travelling alone for the first time. Thinking about it makes me anxious a bit. *Sigh*

He doesn't seem to mind though. :)

  2. HI JERRY!
I'm tempted to go and visit him in Xiamen. But only if I score a P1 plane fare from Cebu Pac. Hahaha...

i'm sure you miss kuya matt. pero he's a big boy na so, for sure, he can take care of himself. :) anyway, at least ngayon alam mo na kung saan bibilhin ni matt yung pasalubong niya sa inyo hehehe. :D

  4. a friend once told me that there really is an SM in Xiamen but I don't even know where Xiamen is.

They say it's the original home town of SM's owner (is it Henry SY?). Perhaps when my wife come here this month, we'll try to visit ;-)

  5. You have such a beautiful family.

Sis Meeya is right -- before Manila Zoo and Luneta lang kami. Then my sister who's 10 years younger than me got to go to Germany for a semester when she was only in highschool here.

No matter how big they get, they will always be your little boy(s).

  6. HI MEEYA!
During my time, I only got as far as Nayong Pilipino, the Mongol Pencil factory, Kimberly Clark and Coca Cola Bottling Company... Hehehe...

Yes, it's different having one of your kids away from the rest of the brood....

    HI KOTSENGKUBA
First time I heard about SM Xiamen too when my son texted me they were going there. But I found a site about SM Xiamen here >>> http://www.south-china-travel-guide.com/SM-mall-xiamen.html

    HI CHLOE!
    Aw... thanks! :D

That's one reason why school is a lot more expensive these days... Their activities are getting to be "global", hehehe...

  11. HI ISZA!
Yeah... You know what they say about having all girls? The dad has "pambayad" for past "utang". I guess I have more "utang" that's why I have boys. Hehe... Just kidding...

The name "Matthew" means "gift from God" :) so we chose it. :D

    HI JUNNIE!
Yes, he was immunized... no he's under instruction not to call but he has texted us several times already about his whereabouts... :) Nothing to worry about for his uncle Junnie.

  12. Oh Xia Men are men no matter what! Enjoy your China trek to the brim, Matt!

Don't forget to visit the hometown of your paternal grandpa. And be amazed with the beauty and wonder of the Great Wall of China!

    See you soon.
