Sweet Words

I was sitting up in bed this morning with my MacBook on my lap while 3 yo Jake was lying next to me playing his Game Boy. The only sound to be heard were the tapping of the keys and the occasional game tones from the toy.

As I was reading through my emails, I was roused back to my senses when I heard:

"I love you Ma..."

I looked at Jake, amused and ready to smother him with a big hug.

He smiled at me but was still busily shooting at his imaginary targets.

I proceeded to hug him anyway.

    That's very sweet. I think it's adorable and amuzing how he was able to say those sweet words while appearing absorb in his game.

    napakasarap namnamin ang pangyayaring ito! (sorry ang lalim ko ata magsalita)
    super touched lang ako sa kwento mo. my baby miguel (2yr old) can say "..You"..ibig sabihin nun iloveyou kasi di pa nya kayang sabihin ng buo eh..pero lam ko lang na iloveyou yun. sarap na sarap na ako..with matching kiss and hug din!
    savor the moment! sarappp..sarap maging mommy!:)

    maybe he saw this war movies that the soldiers express their emotions before going to war :)

    whatever it is...Jake knows how much you cared for him all these years and was just surprisingly expressive about it...galing!

    Exactly! The first thing he says when he sees me: "Good Morning Ma", when he doesn't see me right away: "Where's Mama?"...

    Haay... such sweetness...
