That sure looks big... Jake, originally uploaded by gratitude.

Mosquito bite? Argh! I couldn't help but feel irritated at these pesky seemingly invisible bugs when I saw Jake looking like this one morning. No matter how we spray regularly and keep all doors and windows screened and shut... they never seem to disappear. Mind boggling thing is, it's Jake who gets bitten most of the time. It helps that we always apply aloe vera lotion to keep the mosquitoes away from his body... However, on this particular day, they chose to zero in on that part that we don't put lotion on. Kainis.

Our own celebration of Kyle's birthday was to accede to the celebrator's request to have Japanese dinner. We obliged of course, more than willingly. Hehehe... What's a perfect excuse to have in abundance (exagg!) salmon sashimi, shrimp tempura, chicken teriyaki, sushi, Ginza rice, gyoza, and green tea ice cream?

As is the trend nowadays for boys' parties... 1st part is usually internet gaming for 1 to 2 hours at Netopia to be followed by a scrumptious snack of Yellow Cab pizza.

The 10-11 year olds were just too happy to be spending a Saturday afternoon together playing and sharing some snacks.

This is my idea of no-fuss partying. And I'm glad that everyone enjoyed.

11 on 10/11

Our second son, turned 11 today!

Kyle @ Costabella 2

Kids of Absentee Parents

With our crazy work schedule where Jerry and I get home no earlier than 7PM most of the time, I was almost certain something was bound to give... In my mind, I had to give some slack to my OC-ness in demanding motivating all my boys to maintain their academic standing. It just wasn't possible for us to keep tabs or be involved with their studies as much as we wanted to.

Last Saturday (Oct 6th) was the report card distribution for my two elder boys and it was such a big surprise for these "absentee" parents to see both cards with an average of 95... Matt (high school 2) ranked 9th while Kyle (Grade 5 and who missed points last year for a medal) ranked 13th in their respective (honors') classes.

Almost unbelievable... but true.

"...From suspension to champion..."

Quite a delayed reaction but I grinned from ear to ear when I read this...

Galing diba?!

Wealth in Emails?

While checking my personal gmail account, I found out:

- my email address won £500.000.00 (grand Prize) from the UK Lottery Online.... TWICE!!!
- I got invited to partner with Alliance Plastics FZE of United Arab Emirates
- that the Sum of US$2.5,Million has been accrued as interest on my contract, the sum that was deposited by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)
- my email address (again!) won £420,000.00 from Costa Coffee Promotions' Mega Jackpot Lotto

... all in a spam span of 2 weeks! How lucky can I get? Hehehe...
